Kimberly K. Sorensen has been promoted to Vice President of Loan Servicing for New South Federal Savings Bank. Sorensen has been with New South for almost 10 years, and was most recently serving the bank as Assistant Vice President, Loan Servicing.

As Vice President of Loan Servicing, she will be responsible for managing loan servicing as well as coordinating New South’s sub-servicer relationship. Sorensen has been in the banking industry for 23 years.

New South is the largest thrift in Alabama and its operations principally involve deposit products, residential mortgage lending, residential construction and land development lending, and automobile installment lending. The Company operates offices throughout the United States and is one of the leading mortgage lenders in Alabama.

Tony Lee - Processor of the Year (Again!)

Lee, a previous honoree for 2004, received his award at a February 24 luncheon in Birmingham.

New South Federal is headquartered in Birmingham. It is the largest thrift in Alabama and operates loan offices throughout the southeastern and western United States. The company’s operations involve various types of lending and deposit products including residential, automobile installment, residential construction and development lending, certificates of deposit and money market accounts.

AHFA, established in 1980 by an act of the Alabama Legislature is a self-supporting public corporation dedicated to meeting the needs of the stat’s low to moderate-income citizens. Its programs have provided opportunities for more than 83,000 families to live in homes they can afford.
